At the fourth day of Training and Exposure Visit on Public Health Management on Disaster in Indonesia, 25th October 2017, the participants visited the Islamic Hospital Pondok Kopi – which belong to Muhammadiyah Organization. The participant were welcomed by dr. Innayah who then gave presentation on “Hospital Preparedness and Community Readiness against Emergency and Disaster”.
In her presentation, she gave a brief history of Muhammadiyah, involvement in disaster, its program, especially the hospital preparedness and community readiness for emergency and disaster (HPCRED). The resource person, who is also member of Disaster Risk Reduction and Preparedness (PRBK) Division in Muhammadiyah Disaster Management Center (MDMC) Central Board, shared 2 model of the HPCRED, which built up the satellite health clinic and community capacity to reduce the disaster risk and ready for emergency and disaster.
Then the participants look at the facilities of Islamic Hospital Pondok Kopi. The resource person demonstrated the disaster management committee office, collection point during emergency, triage point, the emergency room, the hospital facilities related to emergency and disaster.
