The participant of Training and Exposure Visit on Public Health Management on Disaster in Indonesia was visiting the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB). The participants, who came from Srilanka, listened and look at the diorama in the 12th and 11th floor on what kind of disaster, history of the agency, how the information was shared.
The participants also visited the National Disaster Emergency Operation Center. The resource person shared the type of information, how the agency responds to each disaster. The participants also look at the disaster map of Indonesia and its database.
After visit Diorama and Operation Center, at Oct 24, participant have opportunity to visit Professional Certification Agency for Disaster Management (PCA DM). They were welcomed by Mr. Sugiharto who then gave a welcome speech. A presentation on “PCA DM: Professional Certification Agency for Disaster Management” presented by Mr. Catur Sudiro (Head of Certification Division – PCA DM).
He describe about legal basis of PCA DM, organigram, Competency Certification Scheme (emergency respon), Competency Certification Process, Competency Test, Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) Development Process, ASCEND, Challenge and Impacts.
After lunch, participants have opportunity to visit InaDRTG Sentul to look at facilities of Assessment Center PCA DM (LSP PB), Logistic of BNPB and Training Center.
